Oceanic QLR4 (Quick Lock Release 4) is a patented removable integrated weight system used on several Oceanic buoyancy control devices (BCDs), including models such as the Excursion, OceanPro, and Hera.

Features and Use

The QLR4 system is designed to make weight management easy and secure, keeping the weights properly positioned throughout the dive without shifting.

Easy insertion and release: Weight pockets can be inserted or removed simply by pushing them into place or pulling the handle to release them from the BCD.
Positive lock safety system: A secure positive-lock mechanism ensures the weights stay firmly in place during the dive, while still allowing for fast emergency release with a single pull.
Weight capacity: Each weight pocket holds up to 10 lb (4.5 kg), for a total capacity of 20 lb (9 kg) per pair.
Durable materials: Constructed from Cordura fabric and 1680-RG nylon, offering excellent durability for harsh marine environments.
Improvements over QLR3: The QLR4 features a stiffer back plate, longer guides, a more robust locking mechanism, and foldable D-rings to assist with loading fully weighted pockets.
